Group leaders signed a memorandum of understanding for investment cooperation in the commercial center
With the signing of this MOU, Vietnam and the United States have officially become comprehensive energy cooperation partners. This is also expected to be an important milestone in energy cooperation between Vietnam and the United States, helping to open a new, deeper and more comprehensive cooperation page.
During the process of discussion and preparation for the signing, Vietnam and the United States have always had a high consensus that the two countries will sign a Memorandum of Understanding with a broader content, covering all fields. Energy sector underpins specific cooperation for the short term and long-term future.
As a result, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and the US Department of State today has established a clear cooperation framework and mechanism towards the goal of energy development. a sustainable amount in Vietnam, creating favorable conditions for specific cooperation between businesses of the two sides.
The scope of cooperation outlined in the Memorandum of Cooperation covers many areas of energy cooperation, from Energy Security; Energy market development; Energy transition includes the development, implementation and role of low emission technology; Energy policies and regulations; Energy management systems and systems, including grid management, renewable energy grid, smart technologies and energy storage; development of energy technology and infrastructure, including the role of public-private partnerships.
The MOU is expected to play a fundamental role in building a roadmap for cooperation in each specific energy sector. These contents will be exchanged and built on the basis of conformity with the reality and capacity of the two sides, and at the same time, clearly demonstrating the trusting partnership between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United States. States in particular, between the two governments in general and will be a solid foundation to ensure the success of the energy cooperation partnership in the future.
